Selena Glenn is one of the few MRI specialists globally focused on the psychology of MRI patient care and anxiety reduction.
Selena Glenn, M.A. BSRT (MR) (R) ARRT, founder of Konxja Consulting LLC, is a veteran MRI technologist, consultant, researcher, published author, continuing education developer, health and wellness coach, and international speaker. She currently serves as an appointed MRI board member of the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI), contributing to the regulatory oversight and professional standards of medical imaging in the state.
Her work focuses on the intersection of MRI technology, patient psychology, and evidence-based imaging practices.
With more than 30+ years of experience in medical imaging, Selena specializes in improving MRI patient care, reducing scan anxiety, and helping facilities improve exam completion rates. Her research-based SIGBA technique has demonstrated a 77% reduction in MRI patient anxiety.
Selena is the author of MRI Psychology: Understanding MRI Anxiety and Why It Matters, a research-based work exploring the psychological drivers of MRI anxiety and practical strategies to improve patient outcomes. She develops continuing education programs for MRI technologists and Imaging Assistants (IA) focused on patient-centered imaging practices.
A sought-after consultant and international speaker, Selena has presented at leading conferences including the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), European Society of Radiology (ESR), and the Japanese Society of Radiologic Technology (JSRT). She continues to work clinically as a traveling MRI technologist, helping medical facilities nationwide improve workflow, reduce motion artifacts, and prevent prematurely canceled MRI exams.
Through consulting, research, and education, Selena works with MRI technologists, Imaging Assistants (IA), managers, educators, and healthcare organizations to implement evidence-based strategies that improve MRI patient care and the overall imaging experience.
